Synopsis: A young pit bull formerly used as a bait dog steals Lizzie & Judy's heart.
Jude had the unfortunate luck to be acquired for a dogfighting ring. Time and again he was forced to be apart of unimaginable violence. Though the marks on his body show signs of his past, his attitude sure doesn't. Sweet, social and loving, this HAPPY dog was in a temporary foster home but now desperately needs to find his Forever Home.

Jude's Story
You can find out more about this dashing lad through his FB page, Team Jude. It tells his story of how he was about to be euthanized due to injuries after being taken from the dogfight raid. Jude's life was spared when he licked the animal control officer's hand and wagged his tail, showing he had the fighting spirit and love left in him. A Pathway to Hope was contacted and the rest is... well, it's not history, it's still in the making but hopefully he will find his happily ever after soon. |
We had the pleasure of working with this fine young man for a few hours shooting the episode and in that short time, he stole all our hearts! The Forever Home team wants to give a special shout out to Amy Hofer, co-founder of A Pathway to Hope and Jude's temporary foster parents, Kevin & Kasey McBain, and thank them for giving this sweet boy a chance at a better life.
APTH is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and adoption of abandoned dogs and cats, with a focus on special needs cases, south to north rescue of northern breed dogs, local rescue of stray cats and all breeds of dogs, and community outreach to further the cause of rescue. Their mantra by Edmund Burke is, "No one could make a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could do only a little." I can't agree more.

We also want to thank Dave Peterson, of Zen Dog Photography, for his set photography this day. All the beautiful black & white photos Dave took exemplify the beautiful soul in Jude.
UPDATE: Jude has found his wonderful Forever Home and now has a big family to take care of him!
